There was plenty of prettiness headed down the runway at the Kaviar Gauche show during Berlin’s fashion week.
I thought these two dresses from the Autumn/Winter 2012 showthough not technically wedding dresseswere totally wedding-worthy.


And then there’s this head-scratcher.

I know that designs change from the runway to the rack, and that the runway version is sometimes an edgier version of what’s sold in stores.

There’s a fine line between “well-executed” and “freaking cheesy” when it comes to wedding themes. The fantastic details at this nautically themed wedding fall squarely on the “well-executed” side! It’s positively the best theme wedding I’ve seen in whilepossibly ever!
Marissa and David were married this summer at Great Harbor Yacht Club in Nantucket, hence all of the awesome nautical details, including the guys’ on-theme pants, which fellow New Englanders will recognize as “Nantucket Reds.” (Or: The funny-looking pants favored by Ames from The Bachelorette.) The super-fun party was planned by Desiree Spinner Events.

Reem Acra loves to send wacky headpieces down the runway. (Do you guys remember the veils with animal ears from two seasons back?) This year, she didn’t disappoint.
In addition to gorgeous wedding dresses, Reem Acra’s models were wearing heavily jeweled tiaras that rested about a third of the way down their foreheads.
